Professional Development for Clinicians This School is designed to help clinicians strengthen practice skills in population health (public health). Community medicine is not simply caring for individuals in the community but instead linking the health of individuals and families to factors in the community that impact both positively and negatively on health status. The population determinants of health are relevant to all clinical practice specialties. The School will help you to identify the specific skills you need to incorporate population health skills into your practice and then link you to appropriate professional development opportunities. Your Professional RoadmapStep 1: Review the community medicine competencies by clicking "Competencies" on the right-hand side of this page. Use these to assess your public health skills. Step 2: Search for learning opportunities. Once you have assessed your current skills and identified your professional development needs, you can search for learning opportunities by clicking "Link to Learn" on the left-hand side of this page. |
